Terms Of Service - BIFI Unizar
This Privacy Policy explains how we, the BIFI-Unizar Service (“We”), treat data by which you can be personally identified (“Personal Data”) as a result of your registration for and use of the e-Infrastructure (“Infrastructure”) we provide to the European Open Science Cloud, with the support of the EGI.eu Foundation.
To enable the infrastructure to be safe and reliable for your use and to preserve your rights as a user we adhere to "The EGI Policy on the Processing of Personal Data" (“The Data Protection Policy”) available here. The Data Protection Policy should also be read with reference to other Infrastructure policies available at https://wiki.egi.eu/wiki/SPG:Documents.
What personal data do we process
We collect and process the following Personal Data to identify you, thereby enabling us to grant you access to the services and resources provided by the Infrastructure:

Data for User authentication
- Identifiers unique to you as released by your authentication service

Data for registration with the BIFI-Unizar service and for collaboration management
- Your Name
- Your Institute
- Your email address
- Data which may be used to grant you access to the services
- Home Institute, Infrastructure and User Community specific information relating to your affiliations and roles
Purposes of Processing
We process your personal data solely to manage your access to the BIFI-Unizar service and other Infrastructure services, including those provided by User Communities, all bound to the same Infrastructure policies.
Your personal data will be used solely for administrative, operational, monitoring, security and dispute resolution purposes
Your usage of the infrastructure will be monitored and records of this use, containing your Personal Data, will be stored and used only for the same purposes.
Stored where?
The records of your use of the infrastructure are stored in secure databases in BIFI-Unizar headquarters in Zaragoza (Spain), bound by the obligations of this Privacy Policy and the Data Protection Policy.
Accessed by whom?
Only authorized individuals in BIFI’s organizational ICT units, and appropriately authorized resource managers in your User Community may access the records concerning your use of the BIFI-Unizar service.
Retained for how long?
The records of your use of the service(s) will be deleted or anonymised after, at latest, 36 months.
Sharing of your Personal Data with others
The records of your use may be shared for security incident response purposes with other authorized participants in the academic and research distributed digital infrastructures via secured mechanisms, only for the same purposes and only as far as necessary to provide the incident response capability where doing so is likely to assist in the investigation of suspected misuse of Infrastructure resources.

ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY AND CONDITIONS OF COMPUTING
AND STORAGE SERVICES PROVIDED BY BIFI-UNIZAR
By registering as a user within BIFI-Unizar e-infrastructure (hereinafter referred as “the
infrastructure”), you declare that you have read, understood and will abide by the following terms
and conditions of usage:
- You shall only use the resources and services within the infrastructure to perform work, or
transmit or store data consistent with stated goals, policies and conditions of use as defined
by the body or bodies granting your access.

You shall provide appropriate acknowledgment of support or citation of you use of the
infrastructure provided as required by the boy or bodies granting you access.
- You shall not use the infrastructure for any purpose that is unlawful and not (attempt to)
breach or circumvent any administrative or security controls.
- You shall respect intellectual property and confidentiality agreements.
- You shall protect your access credentials (e.g. private keys or passwords), which are only
provided for personal and non-transferable use.
- You shall keep all your registered information correct and up to date.
- You shall immediately report any known or suspected security breach or misuse of the
infrastructure, or access credentials, to the specified incident reporting locations and to the
relevant credential issuing authorities.
- You use the infrastructure at your own risk. There is no guarantee that the infrastructure will
be available at any time, or that their integrity or confidentiality will be preserved, or that
they will suit any intended purpose.
- You agree that logged information, including personal data provided by you for registration
purposes, may be used for administrative, operational, accounting, monitoring and security
purposes. You agree that this logged information may be disclosed to other authorised
participants via secured mechanisms, only for the same purposes and only as far as
necessary to provide the services.
- You agree that the body or bodies granting you access to the infrastructure are entitled to
regulate, suspend or terminate your access without prior notice and without compensation,
within their domain of authority, and you shall immediately comply with their instructions.
- You are liable for the consequences of you violation of any of these conditions of use, which
may include but are not limited to the reporting of your violation to your home institute and,
if the activities are thought to be illegal, to appropriate law enforcement agencies.
